Alumni BFH Chapter Circular Innovation and Sustainability (CIS)
The Alumni BFH CIS interest group is a network for current students, alumni and staff of BFH with a shared interest in the circular economy, innovation and sustainability. The community fosters exchange and lifelong learning through events, discussions, and collaboration, while connecting members with resources and job opportunities.
About us
‘Alumni BFH Chapter CIS’ was founded by three former BFH students. Our goal is to provide a network for individuals who have a shared interest in the circular economy, circular innovation and sustainability.
What’s on offer?
- We facilitate lifelong learning through knowledge exchange, including lectures, workshops and company visits.
- We promote professional collaboration and partnerships between former students working in sustainability-related fields.
- We enable the exchange of resources and promote events and job opportunities within our WhatsApp community.
- We organise informal events such as hikes, movie nights and cocktail parties.

How much does it cost?
We want as many people as possible to stay informed and have access to resources on the circular economy and sustainability. Therefore, you only pay for the events you attend, to cover the organisational costs.
How do we communicate?
We communicate in two channels:
- Our WhatsApp community, which has several subchannels for official information, resources, events or job opportunities.
- By e-mail, which we primarily use to publish official information.
Please note that the main language of the interest group is English.

Dalila Britto
Hi, I’m Dalila. I’m Brazilian and have been living in Germany for over 8 years. Professionally, I have worked on process optimization, digitalization, certification, and the implementation of new systems. Through the CIS Master’s, I want to combine my practical experience with resource efficiency and decarbonization practices and develop solutions for circular value chains.
Through the alumni network, I believe we can exchange knowledge, build meaningful connections, enjoy activities together, and learn from how others are putting the circular economy into practice.
Maria-Luisa Gopsill
With my multicultural background and previous studies and work experience in Hospitality Management, I completed the Master’s in Circular Innovation and Sustainability with the hope of driving positive change toward a more sustainable future. I am passionate about promoting circularity across value chains and exploring how interdisciplinary collaboration can foster impactful transformation. I am certain that the connections we build through this Master’s, and continue to nurture as alumni, will lead to meaningful exchanges, new ideas, and collective action toward sustainability.
Larissa Hänni
As a former scout, I have long been passionate about environmental issues. With my background in business administration and my master’s degree in Circular Innovation and Sustainability, I have experience in several fields: energy, construction and communication. My aim is to bring science, society and the industry together to develop practical solutions for greater sustainability.
Patricia Vargas Salazar
As a Chemical Engineer from Mexico, I am driven by the opportunity to turn sustainability challenges into practical, innovative solutions. Building on experience in project management within supply chain and manufacturing, I am interested in circular solutions, resource efficiency and the transition toward more sustainable industries. I enjoy connecting technical knowledge with real-world impact and bringing different perspectives together to create meaningful change.
