Organisation

Our association is organised in accordance with Swiss Civil Code (Zivilgesetzbuch; ZGB) Article 60ff. Our members are the alumni organisations of Bern University of Applied Sciences. On behalf of Bern University of Applied Sciences, we take care of contacting former BFH students and promote exchange amongst alumni organisations.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is elected by the Assembly of Delegates for a duration of two years. It leads the Alumni BFH umbrella organisation and represents it externally. The Board of Directors of the Alumni BFH umbrella organisation is comprised of the following members:

President

Ernst Hegg studied at the HSG and BFH with an EMBA degree in General Management. He was president of the association Unternehmensführung Alumni BFH EMBA for several years, and presently works as IT training manager for the SBB and is a part-time board member of Nexplore AG and Logjob AG. As a fervent supporter of swiss dual education system, he is committed to new, practice-based training models aimed at a tertiary degree. He does this, on the one hand, as president of the Association for Digital Integration and Translation and, on the other hand, as a business representative of the project "IT Training 4.0" and the sub-project "Integra". He also supports the joint "BeLEARN" project of EPFL, UniBe, BFH, PH Bern and SVUFET with great enthusiasm. In his view, sustainable, value-creating and interdisciplinary networking is the key to success and innovation.

Board member

Sebastian Hueber has been Head of Communications Rectorate BFH since July 2022. He has several years of specialist and management experience in internal and external communications at various federal agencies. Among other things, he headed the communications of the Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate ENSI and the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs FDFA. Before that, he worked as a journalist and editor for around 15 years. He is a representative of the BFH on the board of the umbrella organisation Alumni BFH.

Board member

Marc Germann studied from 2017 to 2020 at BFH in Burgdorf, where he successfully completed his bachelor's degree in architecture. Marc completed the second year of his studies at Humber College in Canada and was thus able to gain experience in international student life. Marc is co-owner of the architecture and project development company Zukunftbaut GmbH and owner of MGD Studio GmbH, which offers cross-media design. Since 2022, Marc has been on the board of Alumni Architecture as the person responsible for acquisition.

Board member

Martin Schopfer studied business administration, political science and customer relationship management in Bern, Winterthur and Jönköping (Sweden). He has been working for the Bern University of Applied Sciences since 2018, and has been a research assistant and head of the Continuing Education Office since June 2022. He represents the Vice-Rectorate Teaching on the board of the umbrella organisation Alumni BFH.

Ramona Casaulta is studying business administration full-time at the BFH. She is a trained photo specialist and has been leading a larger team as a sales manager. She also likes to support young artists and is active in the management of Portraitholics, the Swiss Photo Community. In the board of the umbrella organization Alumni BFH she represents the students' concerns.

Brian von Moos studies Food Sciences at the BFH and works as a chef at the Restaurant Bären in Fisibach AG. In the board of the umbrella organisation Alumni BFH, he represents the concerns of the students and of the Alumni BFH-HAFL.
