Biography
- Matthias Sahli is a postdoctoral researcher at Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), Business School, where he conducts research in the SNSF- and Belmont Forum-funded research project ReVerDi. He was previously a postdoctoral researcher and Research Fellow at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) of the United Nations in Geneva. Matthias Sahli completed his PhD in Economics in 2023 at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. In 2020 he was a visiting researcher at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) in Denmark. Before that, he worked as an intern and Junior Economist at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI). His research and teaching interests lie in the areas of intellectual property, innovation, digitalisation, sustainability, applied econometrics and creative industries. His research approach is interdisciplinary; he collaborates with scholars from cultural economics, data science, law and economics, among others. His research has been published in international journals such as the Journal of Cultural Economics, Industry and Innovation and Information Economics and Policy.
