We conduct innovative research and teaching activities on future skills in an increasingly digitalised environment, particularly in the field of social work. Our research on professional development focusses on institutional practices and on the specialist and personal skills of professionals.
We work in partnership with students and other stakeholders to develop didactic concepts that promote professional competencies and personal development, and support humane digital transformation.
We use our current research on immersive virtual reality and artificial intelligence to develop technical and educational applications in higher education. At BFH, we facilitate personal development and digital transformation, while also developing innovative didactic solutions for our school. We proactively contribute our expertise to the public debate.

We design virtual reality environments for the development of professional and personal skills. We assess their effectiveness and acceptance and develop them further.

We develop and test AI solutions for social services. In doing so, we focus on their added value and the risks they entail.
Didactics and professional development
As a university of applied sciences, we train people for the working world of tomorrow. To achieve this, we conduct research on and develop didactic concepts for future skills. This includes critical reflecting on the concepts.
