Situation
Around one in four women in Switzerland is exposed to an increased risk of poverty in old age. This trend is the result of the higher proportion of women working part-time and taking on more care work, as well as their more frequent employment in low-paid professions compared to men. Personal life decisions, such as the choice of education, further training, career choice and private decisions such as starting a family and the distribution of roles within families, contribute significantly to the financial situation of women in old age.
Course of action
We rely on a triangulation of methods for the evaluation. We combine quantitative and qualitative approaches to comprehensively assess the tool's reach, effectiveness and user-friendliness.
