Subject area-group People & Organisation

The People & Organisation subject-area group shapes and researches the future of work – with people at the centre. We promote evidence-based leadership approaches and HR innovations for techno-social working environments.

Our approach

We provide evidence-based support to companies and employees as they navigate the transition to the new world of work. By analysing techno-social working environments, we develop approaches that strengthen learning cultures and enable continuous development in dynamic, diverse work environments.

We see a partnership-based approach to technology as an opportunity for people empowerment and the long-term sustainability of companies. We support this development process by focusing on modern leadership and coaching models and innovative ways of working. We are continuing to develop new work approaches in order to meet the growing demands of a changing world of work. Our networks combine practice-oriented research with teaching, thereby strengthening innovative strength, especially in SMEs. As an international research and teaching institution, we design research projects, train future leaders, support companies in their transformation processes and offer keynotes, workshops and training courses to anchor our knowledge in practice.

Our focus

Our research, teaching and services focus on:

  • Technosocial working environments and digital skills
  • Flexible working hours and locations
  • New leadership and coaching approaches
  • Platform-based forms of work (e.g. gig work)
  • Explorer networks and learning ecosystems
  • Critical reflection on new work and future trends

We advise and support companies through workshops, keynotes and knowledge transfer.
