If you’ve been a paying member for at least three years, you can benefit from a 5% discount (up to a max. of CHF 500.–) every three years on certain programmes run by the following departments:
- School of Architecture, Wood and Civil Engineering (AHB)
- School of Engineering and Computer Science (TI)
- Bern Academy of the Arts (HKB)
- Business School (W)
The discount applies to the following programmes:
- Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS)
- (Specialist) courses
How it works:
- Ask your alumni organisation to provide confirmation of membership and simply upload it when registering for the programme of your choice. The discount is automatically applied.

Who can benefit from the Alumni BFH discount on continuing education programmes?
Anyone who has been a paying member of a BFH alumni organisation for at least three years. The alumni organisation must be affiliated to the ‘Alumni BFH ’ umbrella association.
Which continuing education programmes does the discount apply to?
All programmes at Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) level as well as specialist continuing education courses at the following departments:
- School of Architecture, Wood and Civil Engineering (AHB)
- Bern Academy of the Arts (HKB)
- School of Engineering and Computer Science (TI)
- Business School (W)
Which programmes does the discount not apply to?
- ‘Master thesis’ module
- Continuing education programmes run by the following departments
- Cooperation programmes with partner institutions
- School of Health Professions (G)
- School of Agriculture, Forest and Food Sciences (HAFL)
- School of Social Work (S)
- Swiss Federal Institute of Sport Magglingen (EHSM)
How much is the continuing education discount? How often can this discount be applied?
The discount is 5% (up to a max. of CHF 500.–) off the costs of a continuing education programme.
The discount can be applied every three years at most.
You can only apply the continuing education discount after being a paying member for at least three years.
How do I apply the discount?

Contact your alumni organisation indicating that you would like to apply the continuing education discount.
- The alumni organisation will provide confirmation of membership so you can enjoy the BFH alumni continuing education discount.
- You must then upload the confirmation of eligibility for the BFH alumni discount in the ‘alumni discount’ field when registering for the continuing education programme.
Terms and Conditions
The continuing education discount cannot be combined with other discounts.
The continuing education discount will not be paid out in cash.
It cannot be applied retrospectively.
